How often does the older generation say that rock’n’roll has died out? The energy is supposedly missing, the spirit dead. But that’s simply not true! Glazed Curtains are another band that dispels any basis for this hasty judgement. The four thoroughbred musicians from Brunn am Gebirge have been creating their very own signature sound since 2016 with heavy riffs, crashing drums, and a vocal performance that can vary from gruff to edgy to soulful in a single song. The influences range from the hard rock of the 70s to the grunge of the 90s to the nu metal of the 2000s and are transcribed into the present by Glazed Curtains’ virtuoso songwriting. The results are called ‘Hey You!’ (2019) and ‘Excuse Me I Got Insomnia’ (2023), and they burst with power and passion while also showing a band that is consistently evolving. With their latest album, ‘Claustrophobia’ (2024), this evolution is perhaps more spectacular than ever before. An unforgettable live experience.
