Soul Wun is a specialist in crafting emotionally charged collages of sound, transforming evocative vocal snippets, textured percussion and fragments of personal memory into tracks that feel both intimate and built for movement. This October, he brings that world to Naarm & Eora.

At the heart of his sound is a longstanding infatuation with breakbeat rhythms, shaped by an early immersion in hip-hop and later explorations of bass, breaks and jungle. References to jazz, leftfield techno and the UK underground are woven throughout his work, from the loose swing of J Dilla and Pete Rock to the atmospheric depth of Burial and the raw physicality of jungle.

Drawing inspiration from music, art, architecture and skate culture, Soul Wun approaches production with a deep respect for craft and an instinct for world-building. Driven by curiosity and shaped by the environments he grew up in, his music draws equally from careful research and lived experience. Phone recordings, audio from personal videos, and carefully chosen vocal fragments carry unspoken messages of love, loss and human connection, with each element carved from intimate memories.

This dedication has earned Soul Wun significant recognition across the electronic music landscape. He has amassed more than 35 million streams globally, while his debut album surpassed 3 million streams within six months of its release. His music has also received support from artists and tastemakers including Chaos In The CBD, KETTAMA, Folamour, Barry Can’t Swim, Eliza Rose, Disclosure and Bill Brewster.

Soul Wun now enters a defining new chapter with forthcoming album 'Kaleidoscope', moving beyond the club-focused rhythms of his earlier work. This next phase brings his core musical language into focus, unifying the sounds, experiences and personal histories that have shaped his work into its most complete and immersive statement yet.
