Welcome to HönnunarÞing // DesignThing, a festival of design and innovation! This year, the festival will be unusually high-energy 🥁⚡

Because this year’s focus is on power and its many intersections with design and innovation.

⚡️ What happens when design is given the space to truly vibrate?

We are excited to bring together diverse perspectives from designers, innovators, and experts in the field of energy, inviting guests to explore how energetic people, forms, technology, and visions of the future come together in a unique experience.

On the program: heat, product design, energy innovators, community projects focused on sustainability, joy, new approaches to resource use, crocodiles, students and teachers from the Iceland University of the Arts, dance, funding, sea baths, unexpected happenings — and much more.

In the lead-up to the festival, we’ll share more about the program and details — for now, the most important thing is to save the date, enjoy the summer, and look forward to taking part in HönnunarÞing 2026!
