    “Being surrounded by death made me think about how beautiful life is…. I thought about all the ways we are like plasticine in life – how forces we can’t control, contort us into shapes, stretch us thin, and test our resilience. But sometimes, heart-wrenching change can be a thing of beauty.”

    On her third album, singer-songwriter and producer Gordi – aka Sophie Payten – reflects on the last few transformative years of her life. From coming out as queer and having to adjust the vision of her future, to working as a doctor on the frontline during the pandemic, Gordi explores the beauty, heartbreak and finite nature of human experience across 12 new songs.

    There’s the effervescent, euphoric pop of  ‘Peripheral Lover’, the drama and intrigue of the fractured, experimental ‘Alien Cowboy’, the pain and anguish of songs like ‘PVC Divide’ and more tender moments like the absolute gift of ‘Lunch At Dune’.

    The Sewing Club is a five-piece bedroom rock band that began in basements of college homes in Nashville, Tennessee. Together, Hannah McElroy (lead singer/writer), Stephen Meaux (Guitar), Justin McKinney (Guitar), Will Harris (Bass Guitar), and Zach McCoy (drums) have created a sound that is reminiscent of sparkly 90s rock and grunge with hints of punk and Nashville indie influences. From different places across the country, The Sewing Club now calls Nashville home and continues to spread their sound live through all of the southern regions, and beyond. Taking the stage alongside artists like Fleece, fanclubwallet, Protomartyr, and *Repeat Repeat, the band has continued to grow a loyal and evolving fanbase.

    Recording in Stephen’s garage, bedroom, or in the hills of Hartsville, TN at Polychrome Ranch, they have stayed true to their DIY Rock roots. Most recently, The Sewing Club has released singles, “Trying”, “Clarity”, and “My Dad Wants You Dead” with Jared Corder of *Repeat Repeat. The band continues to write and record at The Ranch, working hard on their debut EP that is set to release soon.

    bog band are Stephen Sorensen and Isaac Clarke. Formed in Dublin, Ireland, they write alternative pop with an eye to the classical song-writing tradition – the songs are full of understated, romantic melodies with sputtering beats and fuzzy guitar, affectionately calling what they make ‘Laptop Soul.’

    Vanity Project, their first EP, was devised and recorded in various bedrooms and one tiny studio. A friend once described the songs as “Thin Lizzy on a GameCube” which fits their own vision of the music as an unwieldy MIDI orchestra, imagining their rigid computer instruments personified in a chaotic band.

    Any explanations for the name will lead to murky territory—much like the bog. Call it a playful jab at celtic revivalism or just some mischievous misdirection
