Moritz Christiansen tríó í Tónspil

Í sumar heldur saxófónleikarinn Moritz Christiansen í tónleikaferðalag um sitt fyrrum heimaland, Ísland, ásamt tríói sínu frá Hamborg. Í upphafi ferðarinnar mun tríóið vinna að nýrri tónlist, sem þau munu síðan flytja á ýmsum stöðum víðs vegar um landið og taka upp í hljóðveri í lokin. Tónlistina má flokka sem norrænan djass og býr hún yfir víðum hljómi þar sem áhersla er lögð á skýrar laglínur og það að segja sögur. Tónlistin þróast hægt og stöðugt, en geymir þó óvænta hnykki og sveiflur.

Tónspil er fjorði áfangastaður ferðarinnar, áður en tríóið snýr aftur suður.

Auk Moritz skipa tríóið þeir Alex Petratos trommuleikari og Anton Deyß gítarleikari.

This summer, saxophonist Moritz Christiansen will be touring his former homeland, Iceland, with his Hamburg trio. At the beginning of the tour, the trio will be working on new music, which they will then perform at various venues across the country and record in a studio at the end. The music can be classified as Nordic jazz and features a wide sound that emphasizes clear melodic lines and storytelling. The music unfolds slowly and steadily, yet still holds unexpected twists and shifts.

The concert at Tónspil is the fourth concert of the tour, before the trio moves on towards Höfn.

In addition to Moritz, the trio also includes drummer Alex Petratos and guitarist Anton Deyß.
