The Academy of Country Music (“The Academy”) is a professional development initiative of the Country Music Association of Australia (CMAA). Since 1997, The Academy has mentored, supported and contributed to the careers of over 1000 performers from every corner of Australia and New Zealand, plus one exchange student annually from Nashville, USA, since 2024. It offers two intensive residential courses each year (Senior and Junior) led by award-winning Australian country music professionals and industry leaders, plus our additional online program ‘Academy X’.
'The Academy On The Road' is a brand-new proof of concept event created to reconnect Academy alumni through live performance, community and collaboration.

Light refreshments will be available to purchase, with all funds going back to support The Academy programs.

With a career spanning from the Country music clubs of the Darling Downs to stages across Australia and the world, Lyn Bowtell has cemented her place as one of the country’s most captivating and accomplished artists.
Lyn first took flight as founding member and songwriter of the award-winning Country Pop trio Bella. Since then, she’s carved out a stellar solo career, releasing a string of critically acclaimed Albums, including Secret Songs (2012), Heart of Sorrow (2014), Calling You (2017), and Wiser (2022).
With influences spanning Country, Blues, Jazz, and Pop, Lyn’s rich, emotive vocals and soul-stirring songwriting set her apart as a true musical force.
