Kippi Kaninus is the musical alter ego of Guðmundur Vignir Karlsson, an Icelandic musician, visual artist, and a funeral singer from Reykjavík.

He builds highly textured, experimental electronica, known for its playful, experimental spirit, blending the intimate and the absurd. He was a member of amiina for 13 years contributing electronic textures to the intricate instrumental weavings of amiina’s music.

He began making music as a teenager, released Huggun in 2002 on Kitchen Motors record label, Happens Secretly in 2005 on Svarti music and Temperaments in 2013 on Mengi Records. By 2013 Kippi Kaninus had grown into a full blown band featuring prominent players from the Icelandic scene. Now he has gone back to the roots and operates as a solo project. His new album Idiopoesi is expected in the very near future.

Plagues is a multi-disciplinary artist from 105 Reykavík.
