The Orielles
Since forming in the West Yorkshire town of Halifax, over a decade ago whilst still in their early teens, the Orielles have journeyed from lo-fi DIY indie origins (Silver Dollar Moment, Heavenly Recordings 2018) to Stereolab and A Certain Ratio inspired avant-pop (Disco Volador, Heavenly Recordings 2020), even directing and scoring their own experimental film (La Vita Olistica, 2021).
Now, with new album Tableau (Heavenly Recordings, 2022), the Orielles have created their first genuinely contemporary record - an experimental double album self-produced in collaboration with producer Joel Anthony Patchett (King Krule, Tim Burgess). In doing so, the Orielles have utilised holistic jazz practices, oblique 21st century electronica, experimental 1960s tape loop methods, otherworldly AutoTuned vocal sounds, the downer dub of Burial, Sonic Youth’s focus on improvisation and feedback, and Brian Eno’s legendary Oblique Strategy cards. -

Conscious PilotExactly how the distinctive sound of a band is created is often enough a question of chance. Or fate. Or talent. Or all of the above? Over the past few years, Conscious Pilot have put their heart and soul into working hard to sound like no other band from Glasgow’s punk scene. And with success. The duo – which has since grown into a quartet – established a signature sound that lies somewhere between art punk and post-rock with their debut EP, ‘Epoxy Plains’ (2024), which combines rhythmic variance with infectious hooks and unconventional goosebump-inducing melodies. Similar to the experimental combos of the Windmill scene from Brixton, Conscious Pilot are interested in combining erratic instrumentation, spoken word passages, and socio-critical themes, but they are also interested in disruption and artistic rebellion against the logic of a thoroughly commercialised music world. Their steadily growing audience in mainland Europe proves that they are also hitting the nerve of the times beyond their British homeland. And their first gig in Hamburg will undoubtedly win them some new fans.

SLAG
SLAG are making math rock sexy. SLAG formed in Brighton, late 2023. SLAGs guitar riffs are actually kind of crazy when you think about it. SLAG wear some really cool outfits on stage sometimes. SLAGs singer could be a man if you closed your eyes and listened closely, but she isn’t. SLAG have released two songs and everyone seems to really like them. SLAG released a workout video on YouTube. SLAGs live shows are awesome – lots of people have said so. SLAG have plans.

For the last six years, Heidi has honed her craft, from local grassroots venues to sold-out support slots with the likes of Sam Fender, Paul Weller, Ben Howard, and Paolo Nutini. In November 2025, Heidi released her debut single, Undone, with AWAL Recordings.
