1st Reykjavík Piano Festival

The first Reykjavík Piano Festival held in the capital of Iceland takes place from August 3-12th, 2026, offering each of our selected student artists an inspiring week of meaningful musical and personal growth. The artist faculty includes Antoinette Perry (Professor at USC Thornton School of Music), Audrey Axinn (The Juilliard School, MSM, Mannes), Carl Zhang (Vienna-based concert and collaborative pianist), and artistic director, Andrew J. Yang (Piano Faculty at Tónskólí Sigursveins and Tónskólinn í Reykjavík).
Our activities culminate in our final concert at Harpa Concert Hall on August 11th at 19:30. The following events are open to the public free of charge:

19:30 – Student and Faculty Final Concert at Harpa Concert Hall (ticketed event)
Each of our student artists will engage in:
- Private lessons (minimum of 4 lessons with artist faculty)
- Masterclasses and workshops
- Concert opportunities, including our final concert at Harpa Concert Hall, the foremost concert venue in Iceland
- Mentorship and community
- Practice availability (3-4 hours per day on a grand piano)
- Hiking and nature excursions
- Yoga and meditation classes
